On Off Digital World Brings Back Computing Yesteryears

I went by On Off Digital World the other day and out of nowhere my memory was flooded with the sights and sounds of years — decades — long gone.. You see, the store reminded me of them “mom-and-pop” sort of places from my youth, back in the days of the good ol’ Commodore 64. I can still remember the ad for one of them C-64 system packages in computer magazines of the time, deals that included peripherals and software. Those were the days! Big five-inch-plus floppy diskettes, big disk drives, big CRT monitors with small fifteen-inch screens! Really interesting software in the past, too — and I mean really amazing, for all the limitations of 64KB! The ’80s were definitely something in every way, but especially as regards matters of personal computing!
